Ann Frank The Diary of a Young Girl I read this book at around 15 years old.The story of what the Jews went trough was all extremely interesting to me, and to read about a girl who kept a diary during this time was very compelling. Of course it was also sad to know that she was captured and then died in a concentration camp away from her family. Made me realize how grateful I should be.

His Bright Light: The Story of Nick Traina By Danielle Steel
This book I have read recently, it was recommended to me by an aunt. I have read in the past books by Danielle Steel, a great writer if I may say; which was one of the reasons I did not hesitate to read this biography/autobiography about the author's son and his struggle with Manic Depression. This book was not only interesting but also educational, I was able to learn what it is to cope with a mental illness. He ended his life tragically in suicide.

I plan to read a lot more books in my life span. Until I do I have these influential books in my list, perhaps you might be interested in one or two.

Very powerful books. I didn't know about Danielle Steele's son, and this book so different from all her others.
